I come from a family of artists – my Italian father, Anthony Priolo, was a sculptor and jeweler, and my first teacher. My mother Joan, was a painter, and my brother, Chris a classical composer.

I made my first ring in 1972, and sold it at the Beach show in Santa Barbara. I have been making jewelry ever since.

My wife, Susan, was an actress in London, before coming to California to marry me and raise our two children, Lucas and Sophia.

Lucas Priolo is a professional ballet dancer with Texas Ballet Theater, as well as a jeweler, and is married to former prima ballerina, Julie Gumbinner. They have two children, Jordan and Olivia.

Sophia, who was also a professional ballet dancer, and the inspiration for the name of our company, is a fabulous jewelry model, as you can see. We are all excited about her upcoming wedding to Jarrod Holt, a professional graphic designer, who designed our company logo.

Sophie and Sue are fantastic cooks, and the family loves to eat together to talk over new projects and plans for the future of SofiaJewelry.
